The Worship Experience
Worship through music is a high priority at New Hope Baptist Church of Hampton . We believe that praise and worship usher in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our music ministry offers various forms of worship and praise songs of all genres.
We also believe in worshiping God through the arts (including liturgical dance).
We want everyone who comes through the doors to experience the life-changing power of worship through music and the anointed preached word.
Frequently Asked Questions
When you arrive you will be greeted by people who are genuinely happy to see you. Our Holy Spirit led services include worship through songs and praise, an anointed message delivered from God’s heart and time to spend with the Lord at the altar. We believe we can come to church in faith, entering His gates with thanksgiving, expecting His presence to move among us and be strengthened with might in the inner man. We desire this for you as well.
Does your church celebrate communion?Communion is celebrated on the 1st Sunday morning of each month. All believers in Christ are welcome to participate. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
As a visitor, will I have to say anything or be singled out?You will not be asked to say anything or introduce yourself as a visitor. As our way of welcoming you, we do ask all of our guests to stand during the welcome so that we may greet you. We do not want you to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable
Will I be asked to give an offering?“God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 6;8). As a guest, you are welcome but not expected to give an offering. The tithes and offering portion of our service is a time of celebration at New Hope Baptist Church. Our members are excited to give as a part of their commitment to God and the church, according to Luke 6:38.
Do you live stream the services?Yes. New Hope streams all services from the main sanctuary onto our website, You Tube, and on our Facebook page. Our Watch Live page can be accessed on this site here or through the watch live area at top of page.

What should I wear? There is no dress code at our church. Some people dress up, and just as many come dressed casually. When you worship with us we believe that you should be comfortable. Your comfort may be traditional church attire, jeans or business casual. Come as you are! Matthew 11:28-30
Is there a place for my children to experience worship?Children are invited to attend our children’s church for spiritual enrichment. While the parents are in morning worship, children in Children’s Church will interact with other youths. They are taught by dedicated and experienced instructors how to be young disciples of Jesus Christ.
Church School classes are offered at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., each Sunday morning.
How can I get involved? We have many fellowships and Bible studies that meet throughout the week. Please check our Ministries section for a list of these and also our calendar to see times and events that are scheduled. In addition, you are welcomed to contact the church office for more information.
